Nominations for the two IPL Governing Council positions must be submitted by September 9 or 10, 2026. Six days prior to the AGM, on September 12, 2026, the confirmed list of candidates will be made public. Dhumal and Majumdar will be returned unopposed and the election won’t go to a vote if no opposition nominations are filed by that date.
Both incumbents will formally keep their council seats at the AGM on September 18, 2026, assuming the September 12 notification confirms an uncontested field. This will maintain the administrative framework that has been in place for the current IPL Governing Council cycle.
