Andrew Flintoff has been replaced as head coach of the England Lions for their next tours of the Caribbean, South Africa, and Sri Lanka by Jonathan Trott. He left his position as Afghanistan’s head coach earlier this year, and he then held temporary positions with Glamorgan and Ireland.
After leading the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League, Andrew Flintoff resigned from the role. His time with the Lions may help him achieve his goal of becoming England’s white-ball coach, something he has previously indicated interest in. Before making his England debut in 2009, Trott played in 22 games for the Lions.

Jonathan Trott recently led the Lions in their two Twenty20 matches against Sri Lanka.
Before going on international tours, the Lions will undertake training camps in October. 50-over cricket will receive a lot of attention, according to ECB performance director Ed Barney, as plans are being made for the World Cup in Africa next year.
