The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has named Tavengwa Mukuhlani as Deputy Chairperson till November 2027.
Mukuhlani, Zimbabwe Cricket’s Chairman and ICC Board representative, follows Imran Khwaja, who has stepped down from the Board.
Tavengwa Mukuhlani now serves on the ICC’s Finance and Commercial Affairs (F&CA) and Nominations Committees, as well as the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee.
The appointment comes at an important time for African cricket, as Zimbabwe prepares to co-host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 with South Africa and Namibia.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah welcomed Mukuhlani to his new job and offered to work closely with him to increase the game’s global popularity.
