Sam Hain‘s knee injury has prevented Warwickshire from participating in the remainder of the One-Day Cup, which is a significant setback. The seasoned batsman, who won two ODI caps for England in 2023, was hurt during Warwickshire’s tournament opener against Northamptonshire and is anticipated to be out until at least mid-August.
Before hurting his knee while fielding, Hain, who had just been named captain of Warwickshire’s One-Day Cup team, scored an outstanding 80 in the team’s opening match. He was unable to compete after last week’s scans revealed the severity of his condition.

George Munsey, a Scotland international, has joined Nottinghamshire for their next two One-Day Cup matches after Jack Haynes and Ben Slater were injured. Munsey will play against Leicestershire and Lancashire before joining Scotland for Cricket World Cup League 2 matches against the UAE and Canada.
Munsey was Nottinghamshire’s top run scorer during their march to the T20 Blast semi-finals. If Nottinghamshire makes it to the One-Day Cup knockout stages later this month, he might play again for them.
