Usman Tariq has been publicly accused by RCB champion batsman Tim David of “chucking” the ball during The Hundred 2026 season.
During the Trent Rockets’ futile attempt to chase 215 runs at Edgbaston in Birmingham, the incident happened on the 55th delivery of their innings.
David nicked the ball in the direction of Birmingham Phoenix wicketkeeper Joe Clarke behind the stumps after Tariq produced a full delivery outside off stump.
The RCB standout and Australian import for the Trent Rockets appeared to imply that Usman Tariq’s bowling motion did not adhere to the rules of the game after being dismissed for just two runs off three balls. He also subtly pushed the umpires to declare his dismissal delivery a “no ball.”
It should be noted that an Australian player had previously questioned Usman Tariq’s bowling action. In addition to Tim David, the Pakistani cricket player was attacked earlier this year during a brief white-ball series in Pakistan by fellow hard-hitting Australian batsman Cameron Green.
After being dismissed by Tariq in one of the games, Green even mockingly imitated his bowling motion.
