Regarding the pre-recorded interview with Imran Khan’s sons that aired during the second Test at Lord’s, Pakistan coach Sarfaraz Ahmed said he was unaware of any conversations between the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Imran Khan’s sons Suleiman and Kasim Khan were interviewed by former England captain Mike Atherton, who expressed worries about their father’s health and declining vision while he is still incarcerated in Pakistan.
On the first day of the second Test, following the lunch break, the PCB reportedly thought about pulling its players off the pitch after Sky Sports broadcast the interview in spite of the board’s concerns. The 18-minute interview was finally shown during the lunch break after Sky Sports postponed the program.
The PCB resolved its issue after the England Cricket Board intervened, and the Pakistani team took the pitch again for the afternoon session.

Sarfaraz Ahmed insisted that because the players were off the pitch during the lunch break, the Pakistani team was not aware of the broadcast.
