After some confusion about his involvement with the state association, the left-arm spinner and batsman, who currently plays for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has clarified his future.
Arjun Tendulkar’s absence from Goa’s tour of Oman prompted questions about his commitment to domestic cricket, prompting the decision. According to Sportstar, Tendulkar will stay in Goa for his domestic career, citing insiders within the organization.
Sachin’s remark regarding Arjun Tendulkar’s IPL opportunity
On December 13, 2022, Arjun Tendulkar made his Ranji Trophy debut for Goa against Rajasthan in Porvorim. He had a great start to his domestic cricket career, striking 120 from 207 balls in the first innings to record his first century. He made his final first-class appearance for Goa in a Ranji Trophy match against Kerala at Porvorim on January 29 and February 1, 2026.
Born on September 24, 1999, the 26-year-old relocated from Mumbai to Goa in August 2022 in search of greater domestic cricket opportunities. Tendulkar was ineligible to play in the 2026 Indian Premier League until the season’s final match. The young cricketer’s challenging season came to a conclusion on May 23, 2026, when the Lucknow Super Giants faced the Punjab Kings in Lucknow.

In 24 first-class outings, 26-year-old Arjun Tendulkar has 685 runs at an average of 20.75 and 52 wickets at an average of 38.03. He has taken 62 wickets and scored 354 runs in 54 white-ball games.
